Move-In Plan

We have been working hard to prepare for your return to campus in August.  Our campus is not the same without our students and we are excited to see you in the next few weeks.  Please note that our number one priority is your health and safety.  We are doing everything possible to keep our campus as clean and sanitary as possible.  Once you return to campus we will need your assistance in order to help maintain these standards.  I encourage you to continue to monitor our Return to Catawba plan.  This document will have our most up to date information regarding the wellbeing of our campus and community.

Prior to your arrival:

  • If possible please self-isolate at your current place of residence for 10 days immediately prior to your return to campus.
  • We strongly encourage you to schedule an appointment with your local health department or primary care physician in order to take a Covid-19 test.
  • If your method of transportation to campus is a plane, train or bus please complete this form.  Once you arrive to campus we will have you self-isolate for 5 days.
  • Please clear all holds (Financial Aid, Business Office, Health Services, Admissions)
  • Freshmen please note that the Freshmen retreat has been cancelled.  You will move in with the new students (see move in time below)
  • You will see new student move in times.  Transfers, re-entering students and freshmen are considered new students.

Move-in Day

  • On the morning before arriving to campus please take our Daily Self-Health Monitoring Questionnaire.
    • You may also find this questionnaire on the Catawba app under COVID-19
    • When you arrive to campus please check-in at the Chapel.  The process will begin with a quick health screening.
      • You and your guests will go through this screening.
      • You will be allowed to have two guests help you move into your residence hall.
        • If there are additional guests that remain in/by the car that will be fine.  However, only your two screened guests will be allowed into your residence hall and academic buildings.
        • Everyone will be required to wear face coverings inside of all buildings.
